Our Track of The Week is from Warrington’s wonderful Two Skies. They have just released their brand new track ‘Stay’. We had a chat with the duo to find out more about the track.
You’ve just released your new single ‘Stay’, how have you found the reaction so far?
People seem to have really liked it! We’ve gotten quite a few new plays/follows/interactions etc. since releasing so I guess that’s as good a sign as any.
Why did you pick ‘Stay’ as your latest single?
‘Stay’ was the track we’ve been most excited about recently and we think it’s quite different from our other 2 releases, it shows we’ve got some range in our writing.
What influenced you to write the song?
It’s basically about wanting to be with someone but their friends won’t leave you alone, a situation we’ve definitely all been in. We also wanted a song that was a lot of fun to play live and it’s just over 2 minutes long so it’s easy to absolutely smash out on stage!
How are you finding performing now restrictions have lifted?
We played at Rivfest last Sunday and it was great. Felt so strange but also amazing seeing people have a good time and there being so many people in one place! We’ve got another gig on the 20th in Warrington that we’re really looking forward too, excited to show a few more of our new tunes and just have some fun
What up and coming artists are you listening to at the moment?
We both really like The Lottery Winners & The Zangwills, a couple of great local bands. Cal is constantly trying to get me onto Holly Humberstone as well and she’s great!
