A couple of weeks ago we featured the debut Two Skies single ‘Another Way’, the duo have just returned with another bop and it’s too good not to feature. The duo’s newest track ‘Loser’ is the perfect follow up single.
Are you looking for your new summer anthem? ‘Loser’ is the perfect track for you. The track is filled with catchy hooks, lyrics that you’ll be left singing for hours, lovely bass patterns and exciting guitars creating an all round belter. Here’s what Cal from Two Skies had to say.
What inspired you to write ‘Loser’?
It basically started lyrically when I (Cal) was just on twitter, sat in bed, and I saw this screenshot of this guy basically being told that someone would never go out with him because he was a loser. I was like well… we’ve all been there so why not write a song about it. I always wanted that call and response idea in a track on the verses so 1st verse – the guys perspective 2nd verse – the girls perspective.
How do you feel about ‘Loser’ being a follow up single to the fantastic debut single ‘Another Way’?
We’re both super happy with Loser, been a week or two getting the last few tweaks sorted but we thought it was definitely best suited to follow up ‘Another Way’. It’s a nice, laid-back summery tune, perfect for the weather atm, lets just hope it doesn’t start pissing it down again or it’s back to the drawing board

What artists do you dream of playing with?
Definitely The 1975, Bleachers and Bruce Springsteen
How has it felt coming out as a band/ starting the band during lockdown?
It’s been a bit of a blessing and a curse as we’ve had all this time to get a few songs behind us, plan things and get to where we want to be. But at the same time, we’ve not been able to gig! Which is obviously super important to us. But we’ve given ourselves a solid base to go off which I think will really help us going forward
You played a show a few days ago? How did it feel to play a gig after over a year of gigs not happening?
Was great to get up there and play what we’ve been creating over lockdown. It’s been back and forth between us both through dodgy voice notes and demos getting tunes to where we’re happy with them so to actually be on stage and people responding to them felt great! We’re playing Rivfest in Warrington on the 8th of August and hopefully getting a few more gigs lined up which is definitely something we’re excited for.
What do you have planned next?
Our plan over the next few months is to write, write, write and release as much as we possibly can and try and get a good few gigs in too.
